April 1, 2010 - (Bowling Green, KY) The Fairness Campaign and the American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky will join a coalition of faculty and students at Western Kentucky University organizing to peacefully protest recent action by the school’s Benefits Committee last month to deny benefits to same-sex and opposite sex unmarried couples with an 8-6 vote. The protest will take place Friday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Central Time during the WKU Board of Regents luncheon with Senator Mitch McConnell.
