35 House Republicans Seek to Subvert LGBTQ Marriage
Half of Kentucky State House Republicans have signed onto a bill that would dangerously and unconstitutionally subvert LGBTQ marriage rights. Representative Jason Petrie’s House Bill 372 is seven pages of sour grapes from the Family Foundation, still throwing a temper tantrum over the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell.
They want to wind the clock back nearly 15 years to the last time the Kentucky General Assembly debated LGBTQ marriage in 2004. It’s dangerous, it’s inappropriate, it’s wrong, and it could cost taxpayers untold sums of money–the commonwealth still owes Kim Davis’ $220,000+ bill to the ACLU of Kentucky.Call 1-800-372-7181 right now to ask your representatives and Senate and House Leadership to OPPOSE HB372!
